Foot Bellows – RDI has a complete line of foot bellows that will work in a variety of applications. We offer everything from low profile to Heavy duty foot bellows. Foot bellows offer a unique solution as an alternative option to its electronic equivalent in that there are no electronics encapsulated in the foot bellows, and therefore there is nothing to rate and you have no electronics on the floor. Perfect, for hazardous environments, or areas that are subject to lots of liquids.
The Foot bellows mate with an Airswitch, and we have several options to choose from. Whether it’s SPST, SPDT, or DPDT and latching or momentary actions, we have the perfect switch for you. The 6448 model is our entry level bellows and one of its unique characteristics is has a low profile. This bellows has a soft flexible thermoplastic body that is ergonomically friendly for the user and comes with some good color options in addition to a mounting ring if the application requires the bellows to be secured to the floor. If you want to add more weight to the pedal we recommend base plate 6204-0001.
The 6431 model is also an entry level bellows, dubbed our “hockey puck” bellows and is perfect for applications that require more air volume. The soft thermoplastic material offers user comfort and this model is widely used in applications that require longer than normal distance from the airswitch. 6447 Foot Bellows
The 6447 model is a twin foot bellows and is great for use on high / low exam tables or applications that require multiple functions. Color options are available for volume orders. 6289 Foot Bellows
The 6289 model is a sturdy foot bellows with a die-cast metal body that can withstand more stringent operating conditions. This model is considered our medium-duty foot bellows, and is a reliable alternative to the softer plastic style foot bellows. 6210 Foot Bellows
The 6210 model is one of our most popular foot bellows. It has a larger than normal footprint and its sturdy plastic housing can withstand harsh environments. This model has color and tubing options and is a very reliable foot bellows. 6254 Foot Bellows
The 6254 model is our most sturdy bellows, made of die-cast aluminum and flex armor tubing, this model is made to withstand the most rigorous of environments. The unique flex armor tubing is perfect for applications that are subject to moving carst that may roll over the tubing and prevents accidental tripping of the airswitch. The 6201 guard is a great option to guard your foot bellows from accidental tripping and is great safety feature for any application. This guard is available in black or grey and is constructed of sturdy metal.
The 6202 guard is our newest guard and is a great option to guard your foot bellows from accidental tripping and is great safety feature for any application. The new guard is more stylish and has a convenient opening on the top for easy handling or moving of the guard. This guard is available in black or grey and is constructed of sturdy metal.
The 6203 Guard is a new “latching guard” more commonly referred to as the clam shell guard because it opens and closes with the tap of your foot.
The Airswitch or PCB switch is required to complete the operation of the foot bellows. These remote switches connect to the end of the tubing on the foot bellows and can be remotely placed on your equipment or application. We offer momentary or latching functions on our airswitches, SPST, SPDT, and DPDT connection options. We have a convenient threaded back entry model with nut to secure the airswitch to a panel or knockout on your project box. For areas where space is smaller we offer a side entry version with two mounting holes to secure your airswitch to a panel or other surface on your application.
Some options for Airswitch accessories are extra tubing, adapters and connectors that work with our foot bellows.
